I really enjoyed the Watercolour Impressions for Beginners and learn new art skills. The teacher enjoyed sharing her knowledge, and kept the class moving along, while making it a very enjoyable learning experience. The venue where the class was held was a beautiful space to relax and to enjoy learning and interacting with the other participants.

Italy is one of my favourite places after visiting there several years ago. I was inspired from walking the streets & embracing their culture. Doing this painting felt like I was back in one of the small village streets mingling with the people.

?A Single Charm? soft pastel and pastel pencil.Finches are rarely alone, gathering in flocks known as charms. Yet here, a Diamond Firetail drinks in solitude ? a quiet ?single charm?. ?Dumy? is a deep reflection on life and destiny, our fears, worries, and the constant search for answers. It is about the past we cannot fully let go of and the future we are sometimes afraid of. At the same time, the bright colours remind us that not everything unknown is dark ? sometimes something vivid and beautiful is waiting for us beyond our fears &10024The work is created in the traditional Ukrainian folk art style of Petrykivka painting using a plant stem( rohozynka) and a brush ma

I always keep an eye out for photo opportunities to consider for paintings. Fortunately, many of the paintings I have made are from photos taken on or near our home in Baltimore County. I planted these bee balm flowers in early spring, and by late summer, they were attracting lots of bees, so I took several photos. I've been teaching art for 30 years, and it's hard to find time away from the classroom to do my own work. I finally found the time during this year's spring break to knock out two pa

Title or Location: Devi
Inspired and deeply moved by the divine presence of the Indian Goddess Devi, this pencil sketch was brought to life as a heartfelt expression of devotion, strength, and spiritual beauty. Through every stroke and detail, the intention was to capture the serene aura, grace, and pure bliss that Devi embodies. This artwork reflects not only her powerful energy and feminine divinity, but also the sense of peace, inspiration, and inner connection she awakens within the soul.

This little painting is a commission for a ladies 80th Birthday, their Cocker Spaniel is really quite elderly, and what a soulful expression she has. Many of my paintings are humorous showing the sly, guilty or knowing looks we receive from our animals, but this serious expression felt right in this case. It has acrylic underpainting, with water based oils on top. 8 x 8in on cotton canvas.
